Как возникла идея проекта?
Идея возникла в процессе поиска себя, своего дела, ремесла — чего-то, связанного с ручным трудом. В процессе поиска выкристаллизовалась идея именно обновления винтажной мебели.
К этому моменту, когда 5 лет назад мы планировали мастерскую, в Москве и Санкт-Петербурге уже были похожие мастерские, а дизайнеры включали винтаж в свои интерьеры. Мы решили, что здорово будет эту идею реализовать и в нашем городе.
Как много времени прошло с момента появления идеи до создания самой студии?
Мы очень быстро загорелись идеей! Это стало топливом и толчком к действию. Около 2 месяцев ушло на планирование и обдумывание, затем мы сразу приступили к поиску мебели и помещения. Всё это было несколько легкомысленно, но так бывает, когда горишь идеей и готов рисковать.
На сегодняшний день какие услуги вы предлагаете? Это только реставрация?
В самом начале мы делали вообще всё. И это был отличный опыт — так мы научились разделять главное и второстепенное, наше и не наше, что нам близко, а что нет. Мы перекрасили несколько предметов мебели, но быстро от этого отказались. Также реставрировали свет, лампы, продавали винтажные предметы интерьера и винтажную мебель без реставрации.
Часть направлений постепенно мы убрали из работы и оставили только реставрацию мебели и обучение реставрации. Причем реставрируем мы в основном мебель заказчиков — сейчас не всегда есть время и возможность реставрировать предметы на продажу.
Также мы учим реставрации онлайн и офлайн. На наши занятия в мастерской приезжают гости из самых разных городов России, а на онлайн-курсе ученики из разных городов и стран. Всех нас объединяет интерес к реставрации.
Какие материалы или техники вы используете при реставрации?
Мы занимаемся классической реставрацией. Наша главная задача — сохранить состояние предмета, вернуть его изначальную красоту и задумку дизайнера, ремесленника. Мы ищем утраченные элементы и восстанавливаем внешний вид и функциональность предмета. Поэтому для нас важно качество материалов: используем немецкое масло Osmo, качественный столярный клей, профессиональный инструмент.
